Welcome to the Germany and Czech Republic Enrichment Week trip! We are traveling with an amazing group of students from 9th through 12th grades, led by Deirdre Tansey, our amazing college counselor, and Kathleen Tierney, faculty member in English and Philosophy. Our trip will begin with two days in Berlin touring this vibrant city with special attention to the history of World War II, the Cold War, and more recent 21st century history. We continue with a full day in Dresden touring its famous opera house and exploring the cultural and architectural history of this beautiful city. As we move on to Prague, we will visit the Terezin concentration camp just outside the city. With our extended stay in Prague we will learn more about the Cold War and the Velvet Revolution. Going deeper into the history of this region we will tour Prague Castle, the Jewish Quarter, and the old town while also exploring its modern urban life.
