Do you love to travel, explore new cultures, and try foods from around the world? Join us for Around the World in 5 Days, an exciting Enrichment Week experience led by Dr Troyani and Ms Espinosa. This course invites students to discover the incredible cultural diversity of the Bay Area while making connections to places across the globe. Throughout the week, students will explore vibrant San Francisco neighborhoods such as North Beach and Chinatown, learning how local communities reflect global traditions. Our adventures will include culinary walking tours, biking and kayaking along the Bay, sampling global cuisine, and experiencing a high-energy acrobatics performance. Students will even bike across the Golden Gate Bridge, drawing connections to the nearly identical Ponte 25 de Abril Bridge spanning the Tagus River in Portugal. Each day we will dive into a new neighborhood and cultural experience, discovering how food, history, architecture, and traditions connect our region to the wider world. Students will build cultural awareness, explore new environments, and develop a deeper appreciation for the diverse communities that shape the Bay Area. Bring your curiosity, sense of adventure, and appetite as we travel the world without leaving home. Join us for an unforgettable week of exploration in Around the World in 5 Days!
"I enjoyed this years e-week. We got to see a lot of different parts of the bay like Chinatown and little Italy. We did many activities such as kayaking, biking across the bridge, and Thai cooking. My favorite part was when we went to Sausalito. My favorite part was watching the acrobatic show, and biking with the e-bikes with others."
