The resources on this page are used by staff members to request test accommodations for students per an IEP, 504 Plan or GEI Plan.
The Personal Needs Profile feature of the KITE Assessment platform allows test accommodations to be automatically enabled for students. PNPs must be renewed each year a student participates in the Kansas Assessment program.
Click on the image at left to access the PNP Request Form. This Google Form will allow you to request individual student accommodations for any state assessment.
The Google Form will allow you to submit multiple student responses. A PDF of your form responses will be emailed to you -- please review this for accuracy and keep for your records.
This accommodation is limited to students with an IEP or 504 Plan who are "non-visual" learners -- essentially, students who are blind, visually impaired, or a nonreader (as defined by KSDE). If approved, the TTS Audio feature will read the ELA passages for the student.
This accommodation must be approved by KSDE and an application for review must be filed by the District Test Coordinator no later than January 31.
If you believe you support a student who may qualify for this accommodation, please review the following documents and complete the TTS Audio for Nonvisual Application Checklist. Send the completed checklist to your District Test Coordinator no later than January 15.
