Background:

I grew up in Edina, MO, a small town of 1500 people in NE Missouri. I attended college at William Jewell College, earning a B.A. degree in Psychology and B.A. degree in Communication. I also played softball at WJC - Go Cards! I have a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Avila College and an Education Specialist Degree in Guidance & Counseling, School Counseling Emphasis from UMKC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in MO. In my personal life, I have been married for 28 years and have two adult children: Jace, age 24 and Aidan, age 20. I love to watch sports, travel, and spend time with my family. I traveled through 5 European countries during the summer of 2022!

Teaching Experience:

This is my 20th year as a School Counselor at SHS. Before that, I was a School Based Therapist at Valley View High School in Blue Springs. I have also worked as a family therapist and a social worker with the Children's Division in Jackson County, MO.

2023-2024 School Year:
