ACCES-VR Information

• ACCES-VR is a state agency that provides Vocational Rehabilitation Services within NYS

•  ACCES-VR creates an individualized employment plan for each client that can include:

o Assistance in finding a job, resume writing, job coaching, interview skills, work readiness training, etc.

o Vocational Assessments prior to job developing 

o Monetary assistance to a course at a trade/vocational school (this does not require a financial need)

• The Following SERVICES are directly connected to FINANCIAL NEED

o Driver’s Training

o College Support 

• All students with disabilities can apply for ACCES-VR services – Students who are legally blind will receive vocational services through the Commission for the Blind.
