Grading Policy
Summatives- 60% - performances and other major assessments
Formatives - 40% - daily assessment, sight-reading quizzes, singing quizzes (usually 1 per quarter)
Daily Assessment - Observable musical behaviors (posture, technique, knowledge of part, etc.) See grading rubric here

Concert Attire
All dresses and tuxedos are on loan to students. We expect our students to take care of the attire, keep them clean and return them at the end of the school year. The dresses and tuxedos cost about $80 each and families are responsible for lost or destroyed items.
DRESSES- machine washable (inside out), hang to dry. Shoes must be provided by the student (dress shoes, no high heels)
TUXEDOS - white shirt can be washed and dried. Pants and jacket need to be dry cleaned. Dress shoes must be provided by the student (there are some that could be offered if needed).
