Class overview
I feel very strongly that early childhood education is the most criucial building block in education. Our pre-k experience builds the foundation for all future learning. Our goal is to create a caring and nurturing environment where all students feel safe and are excited about learning. Our goal is to instill a love for learning, so every child can become a life long learner.
We use Connect 4 Learning (C4L) for our pre-k curriculum.
We also use Heggerty to supplement our curriculum.
About me
I have been teaching school in Smith County for 35 years. I love spending time with my family and my dog Charlee. I enjoy watching the sunsets and wildlife in Granville. I love seeing my flowers bloom and making beautiful bouquets. I feed the birds every morning and enjoy identifying all of the different varieties that visit my feeders.
About me
I have been working in the school system for 8 years. This will be my 7th year in Pre-K. I love my job and just the little impact I can make on a child's life. My favorite part of my job is seeing each child's I get it. Whether it be something as simple as learning to zip their backpack or learning a new letter.
I live in Chestnut Mound with my husband Jon & our daughter Hazel. We enjoy being outside, playing board or card games, and spending time together.
