Class overview
As a full-time high school substitute teacher I am responsible for providing classroom instruction and supervision when the regular teacher is absent. Unlike a substitute who works only occasionally, I work full-time substituting everyday.

Follow lesson plans and assignments left by the regular teacher.
Teach or explain course material when appropriate.
Take attendance and maintain classroom records.
Manage student behavior and maintain a safe, respectful classroom.
Supervise students during class, study halls, lunch, or other assigned duties.
Administer tests, quizzes, and other classroom activities.
Assist students with questions and assignments.
Communicate important information to the regular teacher and school administration.
Follow school policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
Be flexible when assignments or schedules change.
About me
I am a full time substitue with three years of experience working at the middle school level with RTI instruction, and I am currently in my second year working at the high school substituting. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong skills in supporting students, building positive relationships, and creating a welcoming learning environment. I am currently pursuing my degree in Elementary Education, with the goal of continuing to grow as an educator and making a positive impact on students’ academic and personal development. I am passionate about education and look forward to using my experience and education to support students.
