Class Overview
General Agriculture is a specials course that gives middle school students a basic understanding of agriculture and its importance in everyday life. Students explore topics such as plant and animal science, natural resources, agricultural technology, and career opportunities through hands-on activities, projects, and real-world applications while developing teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
About Ms. Maddle
Welcome to Agriculture! My name is Hannah Maddle, the agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at Smith County Middle School. I graduated from Tennessee Tech University, and this is my second year of teaching. I have grown up around agriculture my entire life, and it has always been important to me. I was an active FFA member throughout high school and later had the privilege of serving as a Tennessee FFA State Officer, experiences that strengthened my passion for agricultural education and leadership.
I look forward to sharing my passion for agriculture with you through hands-on learning, real-world experiences, and opportunities to develop new skills. I am excited to get to know each of you and look forward to a wonderful school year!
