About me
Hello! I am Mrs. Emily. I am the guidance counselor for both UHS and FRS. I am currently getting my Masters in School Counseling but have over 10 years of experience in working with children supporting their Mental Health. I am passionate about serving others and seeing your children grow both personally and academically. I love nature, hiking, spending time with my family and animals. I am excited to get to work with your family this year!
About me
Hello! I'm Mrs. Kinslow, the Child Development Specialist here at UHS. I am passionate about helping students grow socially and emotionally by building confidence, developing healthy coping skills, and creating a safe, supportive environment where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
A little bit about me: I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have two wonderful boys with another little one on the way! I'm a big homebody who loves spending quality time with my family and friends, whether we're watching our favorite movies and TV shows or simply enjoying time together at home. If I'm not at home, you'll probably find me cheering from the sidelines as our oldest keeps us busy with sports!
I feel incredibly blessed to be part of this school family and look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff to help every child thrive.
What is Project B.A.S.I.C.?
Project B.A.S.I.C. stands for Better Attitudes and Skills in Children. It is a behavioral preventative program that focuses on K-3rd grade students. The program is grant funded through TN Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. It is a school-based service provided at no cost to your school or family, through Volunteer Behavioral Health. I will be providing classroom lessons that have a mental health focus, while also providing individual and group sessions to students in need (with parent permission). I will also be working on my school climate enhancement project, which is boosting teacher morale!
