Message From Principal
At Gordonsville High School, we pride ourselves on creating a safe, supportive, and friendly learning environment. We are dedicated to equipping our students with the tools they need to succeed after graduation and to becoming active citizens our community can be proud of.
About me
1993 graduate of Gordonsville High School. 2000 graduate of Cumberland University with a Bachelors in Secondary Education History and Geography. I began teaching at Gordonsville High School in 2000. I taught 7th and 8th grade Social Studies and High School World History. Later I taught High School World Geography, World History, and US Government. I coached High School Football from 1997-2011, and again from 2018-2024. I coached Junior High Football from 2004-2020. I was the Head Baseball Coach from 2002 till 2016. I began administration as an assistant principal in 2011 until being named principal in 2024.
I have been married to my wife Leigh Petty for 21 years, we have two sons Will and Cage.
Gordonsville High School has been a part of almost my entire life. I love this school and the community. I want the best for our students, this school, and the community. I enjoy helping our students achieve their goals and become great husbands, wives, father, mothers, and citizens.
