About me
Hello! My name is Mrs. Leslie Pope, and I am honored to serve as the principal at Forks River School. This school year marks my 26th year in education.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Education (2000) and my Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership (2004) from Tennessee Tech University.
My career began as a paraprofessional at Carthage Elementary School, where I later taught 3rd and 5th grade and served as the Assistant Principal before joining the Forks River Family.
Outside of school, I love spending time on my family's farm near Pleasant Shade with my family and our four dogs. My husband, Scott, is also an educator for the Wilson County School System, and our two children, Aiden and Addison, are both college students.
I look forward to another fantastic school year growing and learning together!
