Class overview
In my classroom, high expectations meet high engagement. Teaching English II and Honors English II allows me to prepare students for the academic rigor of the TN State ELA standards and EOC assessments; however, my true passion lies in the human element of teaching. My goal is to create an environment where literature comes alive, and students make deep, personal connections to what we read. My favorite moments are witnessing students build the confidence to step out of their comfort zones, find their voices, and become active, enthusiastic participants in our classroom.
About me
If you ask my students, they’ll tell you two things are always true: I’m rarely seen without a cup of coffee in the morning, and I love nothing more than a good book—except, perhaps, communicating entirely in movie quotes.
