Class overview
Welcome to our classroom! Here, we work together to help students learn, grow, and build independence in a fun and fully supportive environment.
Foundational Academics: We deliver individualized instruction aligned with Tennessee Academic Standards and alternate assessment standards, focusing on early literacy, functional math, and hands-on discovery.
Social Growth: We focus on peer interactions and building social skills. We want to build healthy relationships with our teachers, students, and community.
Life Skills: We practice daily living skills, hands-on tasks, and problem-solving to help students build confidence and independence.
About me
My name is Ty Lowhorn and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year!
I got my Bachelors degree from Western Kentucky University in 2025. This will be my first year at Carthage Elementary School and I am so excited to begin.
I look forward to a fantastic year in the classroom!
