As a native of Smith County, I attended school here from Kindergarten through High School! I am a proud past student of CES, SCMS, and SCHS. After high school graduation, I attended Middle Tennessee State University, where I graduated with my Bachelor's in Secondary English Education. From here, I obtained my Masters Degree in Secondary English Instruction and Curriculum from Liberty University. 

Oftentimes, when I share my occupation with others I get asked: "Why teaching?" As a life-long avid reader, I find so much joy in sharing my passion for English literature and writing with my students! I am fullfilled every day when I get to build relationships with my students and work in my favorite content area! I truly love what I do! It's the best! 

My family includes my husband, Brady! We both have wonderful families and a neice and 4 nephews that we love so much!

You may see me working in different roles at SCHS! Aside from teaching English I, Creative Writing, and Genre Literature, I also do the following:
