We will have our Halloween Parade and Party on Friday, October 30th! Your child is welcome to dress up in a costume. Please make sure their costume is school-appropriate and allows them to use the restroom independently.

If you signed up to send an item for our party, please send it to school on Wednesday or Thursday so your child does not have to carry it along with their costume on Friday. Thank you for helping us make our Halloween celebration fun for everyone!

 What We Are Learning This Week

Math

• Topic 5: Working with Addition and Subtraction Equations — We will continue building our understanding of addition and subtraction equations and practicing strategies to solve problems.

ELA

• Sneaky “e” — Continuing to practice how the silent e changes a vowel's sound from short to long.

• Common and Proper Nouns — Identifying common and proper nouns and remembering that proper nouns name specific people, places, or things and begin with a capital letter.

• Tricky Words — Continuing to practice reading and recognizing our tricky words.

• You and Your — Practicing how to read, recognize, and correctly use these words.
