I started teaching at GES in December of 2004. I spent my first year in the 5th grade, and I've been teaching 6th grade ever since. In that time, I've taught various subjects: Reading, ELA, Spelling, Social Studies and Science.  By far, my favorite is Social Studies.

Prior to becoming a teacher, I served in the US Air Force (as a Spanish translator), and after getting married, I spent over 20 years as a Southern Baptist Minister. I'm still active in church work - I am the music/worship leader at Hickman Baptist Church.

My hobbies include riding my motorcycle, electric scootering, narrating audiobooks for Audible, and (most recently) watching my robot lawnmower do the lawn while I recline in the air conditioning.
