Fall Aimsweb Screenings
August 10-19
All students in Kindergarten - 8th Grade
Three times each year, our students are tested using AIMSWeb Plus - Smith County’s chosen universal screener. This is a web-based assessment and data management tool used by schools to screen, benchmark, and monitor student progress in reading and math. It evaluates PreK through grade 12 students to spot learning gaps and support intervention programs. Upon test completion, you will receive a Parent Data Report indicating the results of the screening. Each scoring measure represents crucial components of grade level standards.
After Aimsweb results are analyzed, students in each grade will be assigned to small groups for intervention, remediation, or enrichment. The intervention groups meet for 45 minutes each day and are scheduled to begin the week of 8/24/26. These groups are an extension of students' classroom instruction as well as assistance with identified gaps in learning. You can find the skills addressed for each grade level posted in the table to the left.
Please note... A Parent Engagement opportunity is coming up!
