Welcome to Gordonsville High School! Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and challenging educational environment where our students can grow academically, socially, and personally and leave us prepared for success beyond high school.
About me:
I am a 2000 graduate of Gordonsville High School. I earned a B.S. in Accounting from Tennessee Tech University in 2004 and an MBA in business management in 2005. I worked in public then private accounting for 4 years before returning to TTU to get my certification to teach 4th-8th grades. After teaching for several years, I returned to TTU to earn my Educational Specialist degree in Instructional Leadership.
I am entering my 18th year in education. I spent my first two years teaching at Union Heights Elementary in Smith County before moving to my Alma mater. I taught 5th grade math at Gordonsville Elementary for six years then moved to GHS, where I taught 8th math for one year and Integrated Math / Algebra 1 for seven years. This year, I begin my third year in administration as assistant principal.
My husband, John, and I have been married for 20 years and are blessed with three wonderful kids. J is a freshman at Tennessee Tech, Lanie is a freshman at GHS, and Landrie is in 5th grade at GES. Outside of school, you will usually find us in a gym or at a ball field.
