Welcome to our Personal Finance or Tennessee History classroom!
My mission is to prepare you for the real world. In these courses, we focus on empowering you with the tools needed to manage your future and understanding the foundations of our state. Whether we are analyzing historical events that shaped Tennessee or learning how to budget, invest, and navigate the modern economy, my goal is to provide you with the critical thinking skills required to succeed in your career and personal life. I am incredibly excited to embark on this journey with you this semester as we explore the stories of our past and build the financial security of your future.

About me
I am beginning my 38th year with the Smith County School System. After 36 years as an automotive instructor, I have transitioned to teaching Personal Finance and Tennessee History. As a lifelong Smith County native and an alumnus of Smith County High School, I am proud to serve the community that raised me.
