All about us
Welcome to Gordonsville Jr. High Boys Basketball!! We are looking forward to a great season. We have three returning 8th graders to lead the Tigers this year. Luke George, Zayden Payne and Christian Adams.
We have eight 7th graders filling the rest of the roster. Kanon Smith, Carson Preston, Brantlee Randolph, Case Scurlock, Eli Bush, Ky Plumlee, Avan Maggart, and Conner Foster.
We finished 2nd in the county last year and hope to be in the top again this year. We have worked hard this summer improving our skills. Our team will get back to work when school starts after football season. All but two players play Tiger football.
Meet the Coach
My name is Lesli Smith and I am in my 27th year of teaching and I have coached most of my career. I have led the New Middleton Volunteer boys and girls basketball teams, Smith County High School girls basketball assistant, SCMS boys head coach, Gordonsville Tiger men's assistant , GES 5th and 6th grade boys, and now I'm in my third year of leading the Jr. High Tigers . I take pride in this title and work hard to make each player a better teammate, better player, create work ethic and hopefully teach them the importance of teamwork and getting along with others. "Never look back and ask--Could I have done more?" Just Do It!
