Welcome to 7th grade ELA! My name is Laila Hinson. I graduated from Tennessee Tech with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education. In January, I was hired as an interim 7th grade ELA teacher. I was then hired full-time. This will be my first full year as a teacher at GHS! I have many hobbies. I especially enjoy reading and playing board games. I love everything related to music. I often go to concerts and I collect vinyl records. I have a cat and two dogs that I could talk about for hours! 

In 7th grade ELA, we will read a variety of stories. We will start the school year reading The Outsiders, which is most students' favorite. We will then read The Cay, A Christmas Carol, and various short stories.
