The library is a place of learning and exploration. We are here to assist students with book recommendations, research projects, or essays. Our goal is to provide resources and instructions that support the school curriculum so students are college and career ready.
About me:
My name is Christy Smith! I have been teaching for over 20 years; the majority of that time has been at GHS. I have taught English at all grade levels. This is my second year as the librarian at Gordsonville High School.
I am a lover of reading, true crime, and crafting.
I have been married to my husband for over 20 years; we have 3 kids.
Hours:
Monday-Friday 7:45-3:15
Students are welcome to visit the library before and after class to check out books or ask for assistance. During class, students must have a hall pass to visit the library.
The library is equipped with 25 Chromebooks for students to use during their visit.
Students may be able to check out a Chromebook for school assignments if extras are available.
Chromebooks must be used in accordance with the GHS Student Handbook Policy and the Smith County Board of Education Policy
Students may check out up to 3 books per visit.
Books are checked out for 3 weeks and can be renewed once.
Students are responsible for fees on lost/damaged items. See the librarian for the amount owed.
