Class overview

Computer Science:  We currently use Kira Learning to learn general computer terminology, hardware and software basics, and Python coding.  Kira Learning created the curriculum ensuring that TN State standards are met throughout the course. 

Students will need a composition notebook and writing utensils for this course.  They will also need to have their school issued Chromebook, or other device charged and ready for each class.  Tests and quizzes will be announced in advance.  Students will not be mandated to complete work outside of my classroom.  

ACT Prep (Science):   Students in this course will be focused on scientific vocabulary, charts, tables, ,graphs, and testing strategies that will  guide them in the best ACT  testing practices.

   Students will need paper and a writing utensil for each class.  Practice tests will be provided.  Feel free to use ACT.org and other websites to practice. The more questions a student answers, the more confident he/she becomes with the test. 

Biology: Biology is the study of life.  We will have class discussions, peer discussions. charts, graphs, simple essays, informational texts, quizzes, tests,  and labs that cover the necessary content mandated by TN state standards. This course will have an EOC (end of course) Test. 

Students should have a composition notebook and a writing utensil. There is also a $15 laboratory fee. Tests and quizzes will be announced in advance.  Students should have no work to complete outside the classroom.
