About me
My name is Patrick Warren and I am entering my 4th year Teaching Criminal Justice at Gordonsville High School. I am from Gordonsville, Tn and the opportuntiy to be "HOME" means something. I am a 1989 Graduate of Gordonsville High School and a 1994 Graduate of Cumberland University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice/Social Science. Before teaching, I worked inside the Criminal Justice Field for 28 years. I spent 16 years with the Tennessee Department of Children's Services as a Child Protective Services Investigator and the last 4 of those supervised CPS Investigations. I worked closely with Law Enforcement (Local, State and Federal), the District Attorney General's Office, Local and State Courts, and numerous other entities while conducting investigations in multiple counties involving Severe Child Abuse (Child Fatalities/Homicides, Sexual Abuse, Drug Exposed children, severe physical injuries, neglect, etc.). I spent 4 years with the Smith Co. Sheriffs office (Sex Offender Registry, TIBRS Clerk, and Dispatch) and spent 8 years working for the Smith Co. Juvenile and General Sessions Court as the Youth Services Officer and Judicial Commissioner for both the Honorable Judge Michael Collins and the Honorable Judge Branden Bellar. I chose to come back to teach and bring back those years of experience to the classroom for the right reasons. I have worked with young people in some form all of my career and that is our future. I also LOVE this school that has been a significant part of the majority of my life. This year, I will begin my 26th season of broadcasting on radio and Livestreaming of Gordonsville High School Athletics. I have 3 children, Conner, age 26 who is a Police Officer for the Carthage Police Department; Kennedy, age 25, who works in the Education field; and Kyleann, age 14, who is now a Freshman High School Cheerleader. My family, this school, these students and this community mean everything to me.
