Welcome! My name is Jacob Dillard, and I have been teaching at Gordonsville High School since the 2017â2018 school year. I currently teach World History, Economics, and U.S. Government. I am passionate about helping students understand the past, think critically about the present, and become informed, engaged citizens.
I am a proud 2007 graduate of Gordonsville High School. After graduation, I continued my education and played college basketball at Bryan College. Before becoming a teacher, I worked for more than six years at Graphic Packaging International. During that time, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in History from Grand Canyon University. I recently completed my Master's Degree in Kâ12 Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
Outside of the classroom, I have been happily married for 16 years and am the proud father of three children: Rylee, Cori, and Ronnie II. When I'm not teaching or spending time with my family, I enjoy playing golf and watching college football.
I look forward to partnering with students and families to make this a successful and rewarding school year.
