Special Education Department

Welcome to Special Education Services at Smith County High School! My classroom provides the individualized support students need to succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. By collaborating with general education teachers, I help students build confidence, strengthen essential skills, and meet their IEP goals.

Support is delivered through inclusion classrooms, small-group instruction, and one-on-one assistance. My goal is to foster an encouraging environment where every student can grow, build independence, and reach their full potential.

I look forward to partnering with families and staff to ensure a successful school year for every student.

About Mrs. Chambers

Hello! My name is Jennifer Chambers, and I am a Special Education Paraprofessional at Smith County High School. Originally from Michigan, I moved to Tennessee when I was 19 years old and fell in love with the area. When I’m not at school, you can usually find me enjoying the great outdoors and all the natural beauty Tennessee has to offer.

In the classroom, I work alongside teachers to provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students with diverse learning needs. Whether helping in an inclusion setting or a small group, my goal is to build student confidence and independence. I believe every student deserves a positive, encouraging environment where they feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

I look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff for a wonderful school year!
