Class Overview
Welcome! This class is designed to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to become successful problem-solvers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners. Instruction is aligned with the Tennessee Academic Standards and includes a variety of differentiated activities, collaborative learning experiences, technology integration, and real-world applications.
Hello! My name is Mrs. Snowi Brune, and I am excited to be your child's math and science teacher. This is my 16th year in education, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence, think critically, and discover that learning can be both challenging and enjoyable.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from Tennessee Technological University (Tennessee Tech) and my Master of Education in Special Education from Carson-Newman University. My educational background has equipped me to meet the diverse needs of learners while creating a classroom where every student feels supported, challenged, and valued.
I believe every student is capable of success when they are encouraged to think critically, persevere through challenges, and take ownership of their learning. My classroom is built on high expectations for both academics and behavior because I believe students learn best in a structured, respectful environment. I encourage students to ask questions, collaborate with their classmates, and engage in meaningful academic discussions. At the same time, I believe that mutual respect, responsibility, and kindness are essential to a positive learning environment. While lively conversations and productive collaboration are always welcome, disruptive behavior and disrespect have no place in our classroom. My goal is to provide a safe, orderly atmosphere where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and be successful.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 24 years, Chris, and our two grown sons, Gabriel and Michael. Our home is also happily shared with our four dogs—Zelda, Lulu, Maggie, and Darlene—who definitely keep life entertaining! In my free time, I love cooking, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, attending concerts, and working on creative projects. I enjoy bringing that same creativity and enthusiasm into my classroom to make learning engaging and meaningful for my students.
I am looking forward to partnering with students and families to make this a successful, rewarding, and memorable school year. Together, we can create an environment where students are challenged, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
