Ms. Heather 2nd Grade

Welcome to 2nd grade at UHS. This year is an exciting time of watching your child become independent, learn problem solving skills, and begin to build strong reading, writing, and math skills. We will work together to become confident learners. 

Welcome to 2nd grade. My name is Heather Brewer and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. I am entering my 27th year as a teacher. All 27 years have been at UHS!!! I am so excited for what I have planned for my students this year.

I attended UHS as a child and graduated from Smith County High School in 1996. I went to Cumberland University and graduated with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 2000. In 2003 I received my Masters in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech University.

Outside of school I have been married to my husband, Scott, for 25 years. He is also an educator at Watertown High school. We have three children Maddie, who will graduate from TTU in May with a BSN, Cara who will be a freshman at TTU, and Cole who is 16 and junior at Watertown high school.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, going to my kids sporting events, reading, and going to the beach. Some of my favorite things are Dr. Pepper zero and chocolate.
