Heat Pump / Mini-Split Systems
Ductless Mini-Split Systems
A ductless mini-split system is comprised of an indoor unit called the evaporator and an outdoor unit called the condensing unit. The evaporator is connected to the condensing unit by copper tubing and electrical wiring which is passed through a 2 ½" – 3" hole. Basically, it is a small central air unit with the flexibility of cooling or heating one room or more; zoning.
Advantages
Dual Heating and Cooling with one system.
Energy efficient. 250% more efficient than electric baseboard heat.
Zoned Temperature Control.
Lowest carbon emissions compared to traditional heating systems.
Requires minimal maintenance and easy to install according personalized design plans.
Heat Pump Water Heaters
Heat pump water heaters are an efficient option to heat water, using electricity to pull heat from the surrounding air and transfer it to water enclosed in a tank. These water heaters are up to three times more efficient than conventional electric resistance water heaters since they use electricity to move heat from one place to another instead of generating heat directly.
Advantages
Energy efficient. Up to three times more efficient than traditional electric resistance water heaters.
Low carbon emissions.
Dehumidification. Heat pump water heaters draw moisture from surrounding environment, reducing the need to run a dehumidifier.
Care and Maintenance of your System
Before cleaning , be sure to turn off and disconnect from power supply.
Do not expose indoor unit to liquid insecticides or hair sprays.
Remove the dust from the air filter in either of the following ways: cleaning with vacuum cleaner or washing with mild detergent and warm water. After washing, dry the air filters thoroughly in shade. (if dirt is allowed to accumulate on the air filter, airflow will be reduced, lowering operating efficiency and increasing noise).
If you don’t use your unit for 1 month or longer, perform the fan mode operation for half a day to dry the internal parts thoroughly before performing normal operations.
We recommend cleaning the filter monthly until you establish a schedule for use of your unit. Replacing the filter every 6 months to a year.
Professional cleaning and service of the evaporator and condensing unit is recommended annually.
Follow manufacturer's recommendations for care and maintenance of your system. The recommendations on frequency of cleaning and products approved for use vary on model and manufacturer.
