Meet the Team

The MaRS "Mission Control" Team was made up of faculty and staff from Smith College's Department of Mathematical Sciences, Department of Early Childhood and Education, and the Jandon Center for Community Engagement. Take a look below to meet the Mission Control team!

The MaRS Boosters included Junior and Senior students who served as mentors to Rockets. They were involved in undergraduate math outreach, Being Human in STEM (HSTEM; Bennell, 2021) research to identify and foster math resilience-building STEM practices, and they helped develop the faculty workshop.

Rockets were first and second year students; they developed and implemented math activities for middle school students. Some of those students continued their research as summer projects, facilitating activities during a local summer camp session.
