Ms. Jones
My name is Ms. Jones, and this school year marks my 12th year of teaching and my 7th year at SME. I am ecstatic to be a member of our amazing Pre-K team. I absolutely love my job and I am looking forward to an exciting year filled with making memories!
A bit about me…I graduated from Buffalo State College with a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Childhood Education and I completed my Master’s Degree in Childhood Special Education at Medaille College. I have a wonderful family that consists of my mom, dad and two sisters. I am an aunt to the most wonderful 7 year old niece named Olivia, and 3 year old niece named Harper and nephew named Mason...TWINS!!! My nephew Theodore is expected in November and I can't wait to meet him! They are all truly the loves of my life!
To supplement my education, I have 12 years of teaching experience; I previously taught first grade in a Reading First School District and other primary grades. Each grade has given me many opportunities to function in a variety of educational settings and I am proud to say that my classroom experience has provided the training ground that gives me hard-earned teaching strategies in hands-on classroom management and curriculum development.
Working with students is incredibly rewarding, and I contribute my knowledge to maximize my students learning experiences and develop the skills necessary for facilitating successful, interested lifelong learners.
I have spent my more recent years in the gratifying role of Pre-K teacher. Here at St. Mary’s, Pre-K is treated equally as another elementary grade level, beginning the solid foundation that Catholic schools offer, where the potential for achievement is unlimited. Our Pre-K students enter kindergarten not only prepared for new academic content, but also comfortable with our school and are motivated and ambitious to move forward.
I have the fortunate opportunity to watch three and four-year-old students undergo an amazing transformation. I do my personal best to simultaneously nurture student’s emotional, social, academic, and behavioral needs and am committed to kindergarten preparation. I love to see all the smiling faces, giggles, and all the growth from the beginning to end of the school year. It truly is a special place to be. Thank you for sharing your little ones!
Fondly,
Ms. Kristen Jones
Miss Stephanie Cronmiller
Hi! My name is Miss Stephanie. This is my first year as an aide in Pre-K and I am very excited to learn and grow with the students every day, as well as get to know each of them individually. I absolutely love teaching! I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was a kid, and I am very happy that I get to experience being an aide in Ms. Jones’ classroom because this will bring me one step closer in fulfilling my dream of having my own classroom and becoming a teacher.
I grew up in a big family, who I love spending time with any chance I get. My family includes my mom, dad, four brothers, a sister, and my dog Cinnamon. I also have a niece named Ophelia who is eight months old! One of the things I love to do the most with my family is watch the Bills and Sabres games together because we are all big sports fan. I also love renting and watching movies with my family.
I come from a family who has a very strong Catholic faith. My siblings and I attended Catholic schools growing up. We all went to Fourteen Holy Helpers for Elementary School and St. Mary’s High School. After high school, I went to Niagara County Community College for Childhood Education and then transferred to Buffalo State College where I finished my Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education with a concentration in English. I am now in my Master’s program at Buff State where I am studying Early Childhood and Childhood Curriculum and Instruction.
I am very excited to be able to teach in a school where the Catholic faith is a strong part of the curriculum. I believe it is very important for students to realize how important it is to have God in their lives, as well as how to be kind and compassionate towards others. I look forward to seeing your children each day because they are always smiling and making me, and one another laugh. Teaching is a very rewarding job and I am so grateful I am able to continue my teaching experience with your children!
Sincerely,
Miss Stephanie Cronmiller
