Connecting to Wifi with a personally-owned device or school-provided iPad
When on campus, students are required to use the school's wifi. Follow these steps to set up.
Click “wi-fi”. It should generate a list of available networks. (If it doesn’t, try switching the wi-fi off and then back on.)
Chose SMESbyod and click on it.
You will be asked for your username and password. This is your regular SMES password for the network.
You’ll be asked to accept or decline a certificate. Please accept.
Troubleshooting: If it shows a check mark by the selected wireless network but you aren’t able to access the internet, try tapping on the network listed and then click “Forget This Network". Then follow the connection instructions above.
For School-Provided Devices only: Follow the steps above, but connect to the SMESnet network
