The SMCS Singers will rehearse on Thursdays and Fridays from 3:30–4:30 PM in the Music Room. If school is not in session, we will not have rehearsal.

Our first rehearsal will be Thursday, September 3rd! 

This fall, our singers will be preparing for several exciting performance opportunities, including:

•  Veterans Day Concert — November 11

•  Advent Concert — December 10

•  Learning “The Star-Spangled Banner” with opportunities to perform the National Anthem at SMCS sporting events

During rehearsals, students will learn much more than concert music! We will work on healthy vocal technique, breathing, solfège, sight-reading, music-reading skills, harmony, stage presence, teamwork, and performance confidence—all while having fun and growing together as an ensemble.

 Honors Chorus Opportunity — Grades 4–6

Students in grades 4–6 who are interested in auditioning for Honors Chorus will have the opportunity to audition for a chance to participate and perform in Winston-Salem, NC, November 7–8. 

Honors Chorus Rehearsals:
Mandatory: Tuesday, September 1 & Wednesday, September 2
3:30–4:30 PM • Music Room

Audition Recordings:
AT LEAST one of the following: Tuesday, September 8 & Wednesday, September 9
3:30–4:40 PM ONLY • Music Room

If your child would like to audition for Honors Chorus, please let me know as soon as possible so we can begin preparing!  I need to order materials and submit registration fees.
