Meet the Teacher

Hello, my name is Pam Sweeney and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. I am looking forward to working together to help your child maximize their learning. I am a firm believer that with a strong faith in God, hard work, and dedication you can accomplish great things!

I have been an educator for 20+ years, and I can’t wait to continue my journey at St. Mark Catholic School. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education. I continued my educational journey and earned a Master of Science in Elementary Education, and an Extended Certification in Gifted and Talented.  I have taught various grades ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade. My last 7 years have been spent teaching 5th grade in Brooklyn, NY.

 My philosophy is to instill faith in God, enrich students' minds, and develop their interests while having fun. It is an important year to build the foundation for independence, confidence, and perseverance. These attributes will help your child transition into Middle School.

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, relaxing and reading a good book on the beach, and taking on the new hobby; of boating.   I especially look forward to the visits from my four children. (Meaghan25, Andrew 23, Tara 21, and Mary-Kate 21)
