This week, students and I coded Ozbots to call bingo! It was a fantastic way to combine technology and creativity while having a blast. Such a great way to wrap up the school year!
Our amazing 5th graders used Tinkercad to design and print their very own pencil toppers! This fun project marks a special memory as they prepare to transition to middle school. We're so proud of their creativity
In our 4th-grade class, we created unique and personalized bookmarks using the program Tinkercad and our 3D printer. First, each student designed their bookmark in Tinkercad, a user-friendly online tool that allows you to create 3D models.
Students had the opportunity to choose their favorite shapes, colors, and even add their names or special messages to their bookmarks. This encouraged creativity and allowed them to express their personalities.
Once the designs were complete, we used our 3D printer to bring those bookmarks to life. The printer carefully layered materials to create each design, resulting in colorful and sturdy bookmarks that students could take home.
This project not only helped us learn about design and technology, but it also emphasized the importance of reading, as each bookmark serves as a reminder of our favorite books and stories!
In third grade, students embarked on an exciting learning journey about snowflakes. They explored the unique properties and formations of snowflakes, discovering how each one is different and beautiful in its own way. To bring their understanding to life, students used Tinkercad, a 3D design program, to create their own snowflake designs.
Throughout the project, they learned how to navigate the Tinkercad interface, using various tools to shape and customize their snowflakes. Once their designs were complete, the students prepared them for printing with the school's 3D printer. This hands-on experience not only enhanced their knowledge of winter weather phenomena but also developed their skills in digital design and technology. The project culminated in a showcase of their 3D-printed snowflakes, celebrating their creativity and teamwork.
First grade students are diving into the exciting world of research skills! Each student has chosen their favorite reptile to study. They will gather information about their reptile's habitat, diet, and interesting facts.
Once the research phase is complete, students will have the opportunity to present their findings using an engaging app. This app allows them to create a talking representation of their chosen reptile, bringing their project to life in a fun and interactive way!
Through this project, students will not only enhance their research skills but also learn to communicate their knowledge creatively.
In our Kindergarten class, we are diving into the enchanting realm of fairy tales! Throughout this exciting unit, students will explore classic stories such as "Cinderella," "Jack and the Beanstalk," and "The Three Little Pigs." As we journey through these magical narratives, students will not only enjoy the adventures but also learn valuable lessons about kindness, bravery, and friendship. We encourage parents to join in the fun by reading fairy tales at home and discussing the moral lessons together!
