Transportation

Students accepted into AVPA and STEM academy programs that are not located at their home schools will be provided transportation via a hub system.  Students attending academy programs at their home schools are able to ride their usual bus to and from school.  As the AoF and GIS are located at each high school, students admitted to the Academy of Finance and the Academy of Global and International Studies will utilize their assigned high school bus routes to and from this program.*

The hub system requires parents to drive their children to and from a centrally-located bus stop. Hub buses do not pick students up from their homes or districted schools.  This is important to note when considering applying.

Please visit the School Bus Routes page of the SMCPS website for a full list of 2025 - 2026 hub stops. You will find each academey's information under their named download beneath the "Charter School & Academies Bus Routes" banner.

While there may be slight changes made between school years, this year's stops will give you an idea of what to expect. Hub stops for the 26-27 school year will be posted in August.
