Pillar 1: Grow Your Own
Strategy 1.1: Build programs to support individuals in changing careers and entering the education field; Develop programs to diversify the teaching corps; Establish a year-long, paid residency program for teachers and other professional support staff
Strategy 1.2: Build and expand programs for high school students to pursue careers in education.
Strategy 1.3: Enable teaching assistants to become teachers; Develop programs to diversify the teaching corps; design opportunities to build pipelines for teaching.
Pillar 2: Staff Support and Retention
Strategy 2.1: Redesign induction experiences for early career teachers; Develop co-teach and/or mentorship programs; Launch initiatives to support and promote positive organizational climate and culture designed to increase staff retention.
Strategy 2.2: Professional development models to increase job-embedded coaching and implementation; Provide meaningful feedback occurring among peers and/or during the appraisal process.
Strategy 2.3: Launch a cohort model to support teachers in obtaining National Board Certification

Strategy 3.2: Identify and implement high-quality, content-rich instructional materials and assessment tools aligned to the science of reading.
