A: Registration begins on Monday, November 17, 2025 and closes on Friday, January 23, 2026. To learn more about pricing and timeline, please visit the Registration page on the SMAMUN website.
Q: Where is the conference?
A: This year, the SMAMUN will be held at Leonardtown High School. The conference will be held at the back of the school through the entrance by the bus loop. It will lead to the F-Hallway, where you will find the admission table.
Q: When is the conference?
A: The conference is Friday, February 6, 2026, and Saturday, February 7, 2026.
A: Country and committee assignments will be sent to delegates no later than Friday, January 30, 2026. Please note that country and committee assignments are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A: Case briefings will be posted no later than Friday, November 21, 2025.
Q: Are there different check-in times for Friday, February 7th based on age group?
A: No. All students can arrive starting after 3:30.
Q: When should I pick up my delegate arrive on the first day of the Conference, Friday, February 6th?
A: Committee sessions end on 8:oopm, so Delegates should be picked up by no later than 8:15pm.
Q: When should my delegate arrive on the second day of the Conference, Saturday, February 7th?
A: Delegates should arrive between 8:30 AM and 8:50 AM. All sessions will start at 9:00 AM.
Q: When should I pick up my delegate on the second day of the Conference, Saturday, February th?
A: Committee sessions end on 2:oopm, so Delegates should be picked up by no later than 2:15pm.
A: We ask that all delegates dress in Western business attire during the conference. However, attire should not be a barrier to participation. Business casual is a recommended alternative if a delegate does not have access to Western business attire. Furthermore, delegates will face no penalty whatsoever on the basis of attire.
A: We welcome parents and teachers to observe their delegate(s) in action throughout the conference. Advisors and parents should refrain from interrupting any committee proceedings.
Q: Are meals provided?
A: Meals are not provided. Delegates are responsible for bringing their meals on Friday and Saturday.
Q: Are there awards given out at the end of the conference?
A: Yes, there are! At the end of the conference, your student can earn an award from our array of commendations to incentivize participation, such as Best Delegate, Most Outstanding Delegate, and more. We also share fun superlatives with the students based on their great behavior at the conference.
