2025-2026
The purpose of National Honor Society is to acknowledge outstanding scholarship and character, and to demonstrate and
develop leadership through service at LHS and in the community. The National Honor Society is a nationally recognized organization founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals with a commitment to developing student leaders. The organization was based on recognizing and cultivating a culture of four pillars: scholarship, service, leadership and character. The members of our chapter of NHS exemplify all four of these pillars during their time at Leonardtown High School. We encourage all 10th, 11th and 12th grade students that exemplify the attributes of service, leadership, character and scholarship to apply to our chapter of NHS each fall.
