2023-2024
The purpose of NHS is to acknowledge outstanding scholarship and character, and to demonstrate and
develop leadership through service at LHS and in the community
The applications for 2023-2024 school year will be opened after our first application meeting. If you are interested in applying to National Honor Society this school year please attend ONE of the application meetings.
Application meeting: THIS YEAR'S APPLICATION WINDOW HAS CLOSED. APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED EACH FALL. If you are interested in applying to NHS next school year please be on the lookout for an information meeting to be held in the Spring, Date: TBD - May 2024
Applications for 2023-2024 School year will open the week of September 25th 2023 and close October 19th.

Requirements for applying to the Leonardtown High School Chapter of the National Honor Society:
10th , 11th and 12th graders only
3.5 weighted CUMULATIVE GPA
50 documented service hours (in at least 4 service events)
4 leadership positions
Recommendation forms describing personal character
CURRENT LHS NHS members:
ALL MEMBERS' MEETING: Monthly meetings are typically held every 2nd Wednesday of the month in Mrs. Watson's room at 7:20, please check Schoology to confirm these dates.
