The purpose of NHS is to acknowledge outstanding scholarship and character, and to demonstrate and
develop leadership through service at LHS and in the community
The applications for 2022-2023 school year have opened and will close on Monday, October 24th - email Mrs. Watson with any questions - clwatson@smcps.org
Requirements for applying to the Leonardtown High School Chapter of the National Honor Society:
10th , 11th and 12th graders only
3.5 weighted CUMULATIVE GPA
50 service hours (in a variety of service events)
4 leadership positions
Recommendation forms describing personal character
If you are interested in applying this school year or in the future it is HIGHLY recommended that you attend the interest meetings: ________ OR __________ during A lunch in Mrs. Watson's room
Application packets will be available at these meetings or in Mrs. Watson's room, electronic copies available here
Completed Application Packets are due to Mrs. Watson NO LATER THAN MONDAY, OCTOBER 24th at 3:00 pm
