What is the SGA and who are its board members?
Student Government Association at Leonardtown High School represents the voices of students in decisions made about the experience they have.
It gives members the opportunity to:

Presides over the Executive Board, General Assembly, and all yearly endeavors taken on by the Student Government Association. The President shall maintain relationships with club and class presidents, SMASC and MASC, the SGA sponsor, and the school principal.
Assists the President in their duties and lead any events or projects as determined by the President. The Vice President assists in managing the Executive Board.
Organizes the Executive Board and General Assembly by maintaining accurate meeting notes and events lists. The secretary should also send emails to both the Executive Board and General Assembly members regularly to ensure that all parties are updated on current events.
Organizes the budget of the Student Government Association, Harvest for the Hungry fundraising, and Homecoming Ticket Sales. The treasurer will also be responsible for the fulfillment of check requests.
Consistently maintains accurate meeting and event attendance records for General Assembly members.
Facilitates community-benefitting service projects and drives, and leads the very important Harvest for the Hungry endeavor.
Organizes and register LHS for SMASC and MASC events, to promote LHS in the SMASC/MASC field, and to update LHS with the latest happenings in the SMASC/MASC field. It is expected that the SMASC/MASC Coordinator attend nearly all SMASC/MASC events.
