This program provides students with insight into the criminal justice system, law enforcement, the courts, and the correctional system. Other topics include constitutional law, criminal law, traffic law, and the conducting of police investigations. Special emphasis is placed on crime scene investigations. Students will be required to participate in uniform inspections and physical training. Students interested in pursuing a career in the field of criminal justice will benefit from the training and real-world experiences provided in this class.
There are no prerequisites required for this program.
This class is a two-year program.
The number of periods required in a student's schedule to complete this program is as follows:
Year 1 = 2 periods
Year 2 = 3 periods
