My laboratory consists of undergraduate research assistants as well as undergraduate senior thesis students (we call the senior thesis a St. Mary's Project or SMP).
Research assistants typically earn course credit in Directed Research for contributing to my ongoing research projects as research/stimulus designers, study experimenters or confederates, data coders, data analysts, or presenters. They may also assist with SMP research projects that require additional experimenters, confederates, or data coders.
SMP researchers complete an 8-credit research project over two semesters that involves all of these research components including a literature review and a public presentation of their project. Their projects can be related to my own research or may be independently conceived under my mentorship.
