1) Human Development in Culture Final Paper
Throughout the semester, our class focused on comparing the American and Italian cultures. For our final paper, we were assigned to choose an aspect of child development and a new culture to investigate and compare to the United States.
2) Education in Italy Multicultural Lesson Plan + Materials
The goal of this course was to learn how to educate learners from diverse backgrounds. To demonstrate this, we had to create a lesson plan that not only teaches multicultural content but also caters to a multicultural group of students.
3) History and Culture of Food in Italy Menu Analysis Presentation
For this final presentation, we were assigned to pick a local restaurant that practices authentic Italian dining. To research, my partner and I had dinner at the restaurant and focused on the customs and structure of the meal, and how they aligned with Italian tradition.
4) History and Culture of Food in Italy: Primary Source Analysis Final Exam
For the final exam in this course, I was given a range of primary sources, including recipes, images, and menus, with which I had to analyze and discuss the their significance in the history and development of Italian cuisine.
