Brightspace is the online platform that is used to access various websites and learning tools all in one place. Google Classroom, Xello, Google Drive and online course material can all be accessed through Brightspace. Take some time to learn about how to use this platform by reading the instructions here in the Brightspace Survival Guide for Students. Once you have had a chance to read the Survival Guide, be sure to also login to SMCDSB Elearning to access other learning platforms.

For students who are new to SMCDSB, your login information is:
Username: studentnumber@smcdsb.on.ca
Password (your birthday): DD/MM/YYYY (once you have logged in, you must change your password)

For students who are coming from an SMCDSB feeder school, your login information remains the same from grade 8.

Be sure to also visit Google Support, Google Drive Help to help navigate GSuite and find out about the other GSuite tools and apps you have access to.

Spending some time navigating these supports will be especially helpful for students who will be participating in virtual learning.
