2023 Skills Ontario Workplace Safety Contest - Bronze Medal


Emma's extensive knowledge of Health and Safety practices secured her an impressive 3rd place in her category, outperforming participants from nine different school boards. For this contest, Emma showcased her decision-making abilities as she identified and assessed workplace hazards in a simulated setting. She was also required to develop a safety communication tool which showed off her research skills,

2023 Skills Ontario 3D Character Animation - Bronze Medal


Mario and Austin discovered a passion for 3D animation in Grade 11. They spent countless hours perfecting their craft and surpassed the expectations of the Communication Technology class. After honing their skills in Grade 12, they were encouraged to enter the Ontario Skills Competition. Competitors were tasked with creating an 11-second, 3D animated story. The focus of the competition is on the participants' ability to tell a story. Participants were also thrown wild cards - the added challenge of integrating a mobile device into the story. Mario and Austin impressed the judges and earned a bronze medal in the event.
