Remind
Faculty, Staff, and Coaches can communicate directly to students with the Remind chat tool using an @smca.com email address. Remind is one of the only approved communication tools* for employee to student communication and is an effective means by allowing students to receive and send messages using their SMS text feature on their personal cell phone without sharing their personal number.
Getting started with Remind- Create classes and start sending notifications, reminders, and even files with the SMCA Remind Hub account.
Managing Class Settings- Make sure that you are managing your Remind classes the way you want. Teachers can change default school settings to provide better security and a more restrictive environment for students.
*Employees may also use Gmail and messages in MySMCA to communicate with students. Personal text messages or other messaging apps are not approved methods of SMCA "employee to student" communication. For more information please email gsabo@smca.com.

Privacy, security, and productivity are very important considerations in the selection of online accounts and applications that our students will use∗. The APProval Process Form (found below) can be used to request account purchases or app reviews through the SMCA organization and approved applications will be listed on this site with descriptions and support resources. Applications and resources are vetted by staff members and researched using Common Sense Media Privacy Evaluations. For more information please contact cahanson@smca.com.
