Prior to the meet you will need to give it time to load statistics (time varies) because FTC Scout API might be busy at your meet and hard to load. Go onto FTC Scout or FTC Events and find your tournaments Code, next go into AutoScout's user interface and input the meet code into cell A3 and put the year in cell A5, this will load all data available from FTC Scout and FTC Events, make sure to load this before the meet. If no schedule exists when you load it (which it should not show), you will get error codes, but this is normal because if you are loading the list of teams before a meet, no schedule should exist. Once you have loaded the teams' statistics as you can view in AutoSheet, make sure to go into the Stats spreadsheet and copy all the stats loaded and then go into cell A1 and navigate to the paste special function in the edit tool and paste value only, this will make it so the stats do not reload automatically when you don't want them. Once you get to a meet and the schedule is released, it should automatically load into AutoScout and immediately tell you the predicted outcome. Be careful not to edit protected cells in the interface, and only edit cells with the font: Common Sans MS. Once you get the outcome you can navigate to the Scouting interface to the right of the schedule and predicted outcome. Through this interface you can find out specific information about a team you input. It will load each match the team plays in and tell you what their chance of winning (COW) each match is. Many Features in AutoScout have not had a Global_Var added to them, due to this many features shall not function, such as Strength of Schedule, Schedule Performance, etc. Another Feature, named "AutoScout ALSO" (ALliance Selection Optimization) This feature will tell you if you can win the entire tournament and which teams you could pick in alliance selection to win. This is expected to be released in v1.1 or v1.2.
Color Code used in the interface for seperate sub-sheets:
The Sheet Titled 1 is the user interface.
BLUE = AutoScout Interface and Scouting Assistant
Green = Scouting Analysis
Yellow = Information
AutoScout is made to be printed. Print out the AutoSheet and the Main Calculator for ease of access at tournaments! The User Interface is not formatted to be easily readable when printed, but the other features are.
create a spreadsheet with all the teams in your tournament and their OPR, TBP 1, and TBP 2 by copying numbers from FTC Scout. With AutoScout, sit back and watch as AutoSheet does the work, pulling data from FTC Scout and FTC Events.
