Click2Speech
This is a Google extension that has been pushed out to the Chromebooks for TK/K/1st grade students that allows text on the screen to be "read" to them in English and Spanish by text-to-speech technology. If you are interested in giving this extension a try, follow these directions for installing the extension.
Directions for installing Click2Speech extension:
1) Go to this link
2) Search Click2Speech
3) Click Add to Chrome
4) Click Add extension
It can easily be toggled on and off from the menu bar.
If it's green, it's on. If it's clear/black, it's off.
Mouse over text and click to have it read to you.
Click the icon to turn it off.
