IMC MISSION STATEMENT

The Instructional Media Center as the repository of knowledge in the institution provides an active learning experience through access to print and non-print materials that support and enhance teaching, literacy, citizenship building, and lifelong learning in an ever-changing world.

IMC VISION STATEMENT

To broaden the scope of achievement for our learners by developing Library Information skills while expanding reading and life-long learning through the process of seeking answers and/or solutions to everyday situations.

IMC OBJECTIVES

The Instructional Media Center exists to render services to the school community and all that wishes to avail of its services. It supports the institution's curriculum offerings and contributes to the teaching-learning process and educational growth of its customers.

To acquire books and other materials in line with the demands of the curriculum and needs of the students and teachers.
To provide all its customers with carefully selected materials that will help them to innovative learning and most especially, to the truth of their faith.
To help customers establish a wide range of significant educational print and non-print materials and equipment that will make the instructional programs of the school more enjoyable.
To guide customers in their choice of books and other materials for their desired learning both for personal and academic needs.
To help develop in its customers skills and resourcefulness in the use of all available materials and to encourage in them the healthy habit of personal investigation.
To make available to customers a wide range of significant materials that suits their interests and that will guide in their life-long education.
To work cooperatively with the faculty members, staff and administration of the school for the sole purpose of supporting all customers in their pursuit of knowledge.
To help the customers become more aware of various and current information needs in their specialization or researches that can be useful in their daily lives.
To help develop and enhance in the customers love for reading so that in return they can be instruments in eradicating illiteracy in our society.
To provide a variety and abundance of materials from all forms of media to support and enrich the school curriculum.
To motivate students to read and provide the teaching staff with important professional materials, to implement enrich and supplement the instructional program of the school as well as to provide for the independent study and personal reading of the students.
To provide materials which will enrich and support the curriculum, taking into consideration the varied interest, abilities, and maturity level of the pupils served.
To provide materials which will stimulates growth in factual knowledge, literacy appreciation, aesthetic values and ethical standards.
To provide background information this will enable pupils to make intelligent judgments in their daily life.
